This
Percussionist - a selfless spirit of charming musical prowess
- often elicits standing ovations during his dramatic performances!
CHAZZ's fame stems from his fusion of keen empathetic listening
with awesome technical showmanship. See and feel his soul
"channel" fellow artists' internal rhythms to
enrich their words, music and dance.
CHAZZ's
approach reflects his extensive training in African Music
and Dance, Latin Percussion, Martial Arts, Stand-Up Comedy
and Acting. His amazing style involves playing African and
Latin instrumental combos- bursting into incredible sustained
32nd note runs! His mastery of stick, hand and wind instruments
include Congos, Bongos, Timbales, Djembe, Dijeridoo, Kalimba,
Udo and the Harmonica.
CHAZZ
has shared both stage and studio with legendary entertainers,
such as Al Jarreau, Chaka Chan, Phil Perry, Ruby Dee &
Ossie Davis, Malcolm Jamal-Warner and the Oba-Oba Brazilian
Dance Troupe. Yet, he generously teaches and promotes promising
young artists
As
a "music-disciple", CHAZZ salutes his formal instructors
in Latin, African and American percussion - namely Luis
Conte, Javuzi Bojangos, Carl Lott, Jr. and Chris Brooks.
His academic education includes graduation with honors from
Boston University and the UCLA Law School. CHAZZ is proudly
named after his father, Clarence L. Ross, Sr, was raised
in Washington D.C. and Silver Springs, MD, and resides in
Eagle Rock in Los Angeles, CA.
